Edouard very fond of match-winning Glasgow derby strike

Odsonne Edouard has revealed that his winning goal against Rangers at Ibrox last season is one of the best moments of his career.

The Hoops striker curled home the goal to give the Hoops a 3-2 lead when the side were reduced to 10 men.

Ahead of Sunday’s trip to Ibrox, Edouard took to social media to describe the goal as ‘one of the best moments’.

The goal was the making of Edouard in a Celtic shirt. He has gone on to have a stellar record against Rangers since breaking his duck against them in the Ibrox win.

Opened scoring in title party

He scored twice in the 5-0 win at Celtic Park which clinched the title. Whilst this season, he opened the scoring in the 2-1 win over the Ibrox side in March.

Edouard has done very well in his first season as a Celtic player, scoring 21 goals and helping the Hoops to the verge on another domestic treble.

Departure may have helped player

Interestingly enough, the departure of the man who gave him the assist for his winning goal at Ibrox, Moussa Dembele. may have helped his Celtic career.

With Dembele’s exit, Edouard has gone on to become the main striker at the club, and as a result has found the back of the net more than he did last season.

You would not bet against Edouard scoring against the Hoops bitter rivals once again this Sunday.
