Members of the Celtic first-team squad have been posting online after a cracking day in Dublin.

It may only have been a draw for Brendan Rodgers‘ men against Wolves, but it was a generally encouraging performance and a terrific Celtic support that witnessed it.

Just shy of 30,000 took in the match at the Aviva Stadium with the vast, vast majority of them supporting the Scottish champions.

Stephen Welsh is always someone who appreciates the sacrifices fans make to follow their club.

He posted on Instagram, to say: “Dublin in the green. Great support once again.”

Joe Hart posted on his stories: “Thanks for having us Dublin.”

Daizen Maeda and Liel Abada are building a strong on-field relationship and that seems to be the case off the pitch too.

Abada tweeted an image of Kyogo Furuhashi celebrating his goal in Dublin, to which Maeda then mentioned him on his stories, calling the Israel winger an “assist king.”

Abada also posted to say “Keep going” while Greg Taylor had a simple message: “One week to go.”

The full-back is correct. A week from now Celtic will have begun their Premiership defence. There’s a fair chance we’ll already be top of the league too.

It’s been a pretty quick pre-season this year, but the club have covered a lot of ground in Portugal, Japan and Ireland.

They’ve now got a few games at Celtic Park to look forward to.

In other news, Brendan Rodgers isn’t expecting Carl Starfelt to be out for a considerable period of time
