Celtic’s forthcoming opponents Hamilton could receive a significant boost ahead of the meeting between the teams on Saturday.

The Scottish Sun is reporting that the trio of Steve Davies, Ciaran McKenna and Scott Martin could be available to face the Hoops after recovering from recent injuries.

The report also quotes Hamilton boss Brian Rice, who explains that “the international break has been good as a few of the injured lads have recovered and have a chance of being involved in the squad for the game against Celtic.”

Celtic will be heavy favourites for the game. After all, the Hoops are the only team with a 100% record in the Premiership.

However, they won’t be taking anything for granted against Hamilton. Particularly after so many Hoops players have been involved in international duty this week.

As Rice says, Hamilton have been able to get some players back from injury, and they have had a free week. That is certainly not the case for Celtic.

Hoops should be full of confidence

However, the Hoops should still go into the game full of confidence. The win over Rangers before the international break was a huge boost to the team.

The Hoops also have an excellent recent record against Hamilton, having won the last nine meetings between the teams.

Even so, Neil Lennon will pick a very strong side for the game. He will want to keep Celtic’s momentum going, ahead of the first Europa League group stage match against Rennes.
