Trevor Sinclair praised Liam Scales as a standout performer for Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic during a gut-wrenching 2-1 defeat to Lazio in the Champions League.
At one point, it looked like the Bhoys were in dreamland. There were 10 minutes left on the clock when Luis Palma had the ball in the back of the net, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
Celtic deserved so much more from the game, but was sucker-punched in stoppage-time by Pedro to the agony of the home fans.
Former Premier League winger Trevor Sinclair stated on Twitter that the result was ‘very harsh’ on the team, and rightly so.
The in-form Matt O’Riley and the deadly Kyogo Furuhashi did superbly well to link up early in the first half for the opening goal of the game, but that lead didn’t even last half an hour.
Celtic pushed and pushed in the second half for the winner, with Trevor Sinclair reacting to last night’s result and giving Liam Scales his flowers.

Celtic need to go again
The team can’t allow this to weigh them down, or else, the Atletico Madrid tie next month will end in one way, and that’s a defeat.
In a strange way, you ask for more of the same. The same start. But this time, make the lead count.
And if Celtic are on top, like they were for large parts of the second half, then the big players need to step up and be ruthless.
Kyogo has got his big moment in the Champions League and the fans will be hoping this is now the start of bigger and better things to come.
