Now that the Scottish Cup has been settled, talk for many Celtic supporters turns to the transfer window.
There is no doubt that Brendan Rodgers has a bit of work to do to strengthen a number of positions ahead of the new season.
The Celtic manager has already admitted that he plans to strengthen the Hoops squad when he was speaking about the Bhoys’ defeat to Aberdeen yesterday.
However it’s the ongoing saga about one Celtic player’s future at the club that if it is to end now, he has done so with a ‘belter of a performance’ against the winners, Aberdeen.

BBC’s Amy Canavan says Greg Taylor was ‘superb’ in Celtic’s defeat to Aberdeen
Greg Taylor’s Celtic future has been spoken about for months now.
Ever since he entered into the last six months of his contract, the Celtic full-back has been linked with other clubs as well as being offered a new deal by the club.
But it seems that if he was to bow out now, he does so with his head held high according to BBC’s touchline reporter, Amy Canavan.
Canavan told the BBC, “Greg Taylor has been superb today.
“If this is a bye-bye, he’s gone out with a belter of a performance.”
Celtic will miss Greg Taylor despite Kieran Tierney’s return
Kieran Tierney returns to Celtic in the summer and will likely take the place of Greg Taylor whether he stays at the club or not.
However, that is not to say Taylor won’t be missed because he has been an integral part of Celtic’s success since his 2019 move to Paradise from Kilmarnock.
| Greg Taylor | Games | Goals | Assists | Trophies |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Celtic | 216 | 9 | 33 | 11 |
Whatever happens with Taylor this summer, he leaves Celtic with a trophy haul many of the world’s top players will be envious of.
