Celtic, as a club, are coming under some serious fire after the Champions League play-off draw against Kairat Almaty.
As well as Celtic being poor on the night, the Kazakhstani side also surprised many as they arrived at Parkhead organised, dogged and difficult to break down.
Many Celtic supporters turned up with a cautious confidence that even without adding to the squad, Brendan Rodgers’ side should have had enough to leave Glasgow with at least a one-goal advantage.
And as the Celtic supporters sent a message to the board at full-time, Rodgers sent a big message to Adam Idah post-match.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers tells Adam Idah he ‘can’t afford to wait’ for him
Adam Idah endured another tough night leading the Celtic front line and, in truth, his performance wasn’t entirely his own fault.
Service was lacking for the big striker but Idah was culpable himself for not getting more involved in the game and Rodgers has sent a huge message to the Irishman.
Rodgers told the BBC, “There’s no rocket science in it. It’s all hard work and preparation and all that leads to confidence. You normally succeed then as a player.
“It didn’t quite go for him first half. I wanted a bit more activity in and around the box.
“Adam is a good, honest boy. He’s not started how he’d like, and in games like this here I can’t afford to wait.”
Adam Idah’s Celtic stats vs Kairat Almaty are damning
Idah was hooked after 45 minutes and looking at his stats on Fotmob it’s not hard to see why.
- Rating: 5.9
- Accurate passes: 5/6 (83%)
- Touches: 12
- Touches in opposition box: 0
- Successful dribbles: 1/1 (100%)
- Dispossessed: 1
- Aerial duels won: 0/0 (0%)
Again, the service was lacking for Idah and he cut a forlorn figure inside Celtic Park last night and it appears that Rodgers’ patience could well be running out for him.
