Celtic moved another step closer to the Scottish Premiership title with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Motherwell in a match full of momentum swings and late tension.
Martin O’Neill’s side struggled for long periods but Celtic were repeatedly forced to respond after Motherwell refused to back down.
It took a dramatic last second penalty from Kelechi Iheanacho to set up a title decider against Hearts, but the award did not impress Jens Berthel Askou.

Jens Berthel Askou fumes at Celtic’s late Motherwell penalty
Askou was asked his thoughts on the spot kick award and the Motherwell boss did not hold back.
Askou told BBC Radio Scotland, “I can’t see anywhere, in any world, where it could ever be a penalty.
“I can’t see a hand hitting the ball. But if it is, it’s because he connects with Trusty, and Trusty pushes his arm into the direction of the ball, and not Sam going for the ball with his arm.
“So in that case, if they see a handball, they should think it’s because of the connection and nothing else.”

The match will also be remembered for the debate surrounding Celtic’s penalty appeal involving Maeda and goalkeeper Calum Ward.
Still, the biggest outcome was Celtic finding a way to win again under pressure.
With the title race entering its decisive stage, performances like this could prove crucial in determining where the trophy ends up this season.
