John Hartson makes his feelings towards Adam Idah pretty clear after Celtic beat Hibernian

That was a much-needed win for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers, even though the team rode their luck against Hibernian on many occasions.

Before the game, Brendan Rodgers made some big calls to his XI, including changing his entire forward line and bringing in January loan signing Adam Idah for Kyogo Furuhashi.

That move proved to be a masterstroke because, inside ten minutes, the on-loan Norwich City star was putting the ball into the back of the net from the penalty spot.

Celtic made life difficult for themselves after that, including conceding another second-half goal, but after winning another penalty in the 90th minute, who better to step up and prove his worth for his team again than Adam Idah?!

John Hartson was thrilled on Twitter and he made his feelings pretty clear that you should ‘never judge a book by its cover’.

This wasn’t exactly the player’s fault, but the Celtic faithful were expecting a lot more from the January transfer window.

So, when the powers that be are then signing a striker, who is struggling for an English Championship club, then it understandably frustrates the fans.

But Adam Idah can only do his job, and to the delight of John Hartson, he is making a quite brilliant start to life as a Celtic player.

Give Adam Idah time

From the minutes the Irishman has been on the pitch, he has actually looked pretty good and showcased many good moments.

The fans will remain patient with Idah, continue to get behind him and you never know how this might work out.

From arriving on a loan deal until the end of the season, and nothing else, this might just turn into a lot more if things start to go really well here.

And he deserved his start against Hibs, he now deserves to keep his place in the XI, regardless of what Kyogo has or hasn’t done for the club.
