Karamoko Dembele has every right to be delighted with his Celtic performance against Charlton Athletic this afternoon.

The young winger was deployed from the start against the Addicks by Ange Postecoglou after missing out on the mid-week match against Sheffield Wednesday.

He was a bright, skilful presence on the right flank throughout before making way for the second half eleven.

It was actually Dembele who opened the scoring in the 2-1 win, smashing home through a crowded box.

The 18-year-old was also involved in the second goal, latching on to David Turnbull’s ball before feeding Anthony Ralston’s overlapping run. Ralston crossed the ball in for Albian Ajeti to bury home with a header.
