Celtic stormed to a 6-0 Scottish Premiership victory away to St Johnstone on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers’ Bhoys have now won all nine of their matches so far this season, extending their perfect start to the campaign.
Kyogo Furuhashi opened the goal-fest after 35 minutes with a lovely breakaway. Latching on to Nicolas Kuhn’s headed through ball, he expertly slotted past Ross Sinclair on the run.
A special team move followed eight minutes later. Kyogo again found himself involved and smartly laid off a right flank cross to Paulo Bernardo, who crashed in a classy long-range finish.
And the Japanese superstar was at it yet again just moments after St Johnstone’s kick-off, showing excellent movement in the box to get on the end of Greg Taylor’s sumptuous curled pass and nod the ball past a helpless Sinclair.

Celtic didn’t let up in the second half. Callum McGregor grabbed Celtic’s fourth with a trademark drive from outside the box following a short corner. Daizen Maeda then fired home a bullet header from Bernardo’s superb cross.
But the best was yet to come. Adam Idah finished off an outrageous team move involving a Luke McCowan chip and Alex Valle backheel to pile the misery on the Perth side with six.
Kyogo breaks a year of frustration away from home
Everyone knows that Kyogo is one of Celtic’s best and most important players, so the anomaly of him not scoring away from home in the Premiership for almost a year was an odd one.
Before Saturday night, the forward hadn’t netted an away league goal since the 4-1 thrashing of Hearts at Tynecastle in October 2023.
After a couple of early missed chances, it could have been another of those occasions for the striker, but he ended up showing just how good he is.
With two goals and an assist, he broke that unwanted streak in style and is well underway with his scoring for 2024/25, now notching up a tally of four in all competitions.
Nicolas Kuhn racks up the assists
By setting up both Kyogo and Callum McGregor tonight, Nicolas Kuhn took his assist total for the season to a mighty eight from just nine matches.
Given that he has also scored four goals, it’s fair to say he’s delivering an acceptable end product since an electric pre-season reset his Celtic start.
The German is proving to be one of Brendan Rodgers’ best signings since returning to the club, and there’s no limit on the numbers he could produce over the course of an entire campaign.
He’s exactly what you want in a winger – hard-working, quick, unpredictable and with that stardust of quality. What a thrill to watch him in full flow.

Too many to praise, Celtic are that good
In honesty, I could go on writing about almost the entire team tonight. Paulo Bernardo was fantastic again. Auston Trusty looked much more assured than last week. Daizen Maeda continues to be a joy.
The list would go on and on. It’s perhaps easier to say – Celtic are just undeniably fantastic to watch right now. Regardless of opponent or occasion, you just know Rodgers’ side are going to turn up with dangerous intent and incredible work ethic.
The only sadness tonight is that Tuesday is days away. I want to see Celtic again, right now, playing in the Champions League.
Bring on all challengers – this team are addictive.
