Seeing 58,000 Celtic fans going wild from the away end is a pretty cool sight.
Okay, there’s a fair chance you don’t want to hear or see anything to do with Wednesday night’s game. It was a gutting late loss to Lazio in the UEFA Champions League. If you click off this article right now I won’t blame you.
When browsing YouTube after the match, I came across a matchday vlog from user Fusion Josh. The creator has over 60,000 subscribers on the platform and regularly attends matches around Europe.
Josh is a self-proclaimed Lazio fan and was lucky enough to have a ticket for Wednesday’s game — albeit in the away end.
In the video, he shows his story of the day including the match itself. While skipping through the Lazio goal celebrations was the only option, the footage does at least show Celtic Park going berserk after Kyogo Furuhashi’s early goal.
You can watch that part from 3:50 onwards here. While the goal may not be as special now that we know it didn’t count for anything, it’s still amazing to hear the roar and see the limbs in the home end as the Lazio fans watch on.

The video also captures the even more spectacular scenes after Luis Palma’s disallowed goal. It was the night that could have been for the team. Ah, why do I put myself through it?
Also included is ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and the Champions League anthem being greeted by an almighty roar.
While the vlogger Josh is a Lazio fan, and we don’t have too much time for them as a club, he does seem very respectful and appreciative of Celtic Park and the Hoops support.
Ideally, we’ll get one of these soon when we actually pull off a big result.
