The team slipped to a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Sparta Prague in the Europa League.
It’s a result that makes it immensely difficult to qualify for the next round of the competition.
The defending and general performance was awful, and there’s no excusing it, but there was one silver lining in the form of Griffiths.
He came off the bench in the second half to add new energy to our attacking play.

With Odsonne Edouard underperforming, there are some hoping to see Griffiths in the starting eleven on a more regular basis, believing he has the scoring chops to cause opposition teams problem.
It’s now going to be very interesting to see who the manager decides to go with against Motherwell on Sunday.
We simply can’t afford to drop any points in that one and Lennon must pick the side that is actually showing the effort and desire we need to win games.
