With the league title won, there have been thoughts that Celtic could rest some players for Sunday’s Glasgow derby against Rangers.
Both Mikael Lustig and Kieran Tierney have been struggling with injuries recently. With nothing riding on the game apart from bragging rights, it could have been a good opportunity for some fringe players to get a chance to shine.
However, some recent comments by interim manger Neil Lennon have indicated that the Hoops will be going all out to win the game.

“You want to win”
“It’s a game you want to win and I’d like us to finish on 90 points” he told Celtic TV, as cited by the Scottish Sun.
“I want us to be strong and resolute at times, but also to play on the front foot” he continued.

Going by Lennon’s comments, it would seem that the strongest available team will be selected for the game. That could be a mistake.
Concern over injuries

With the Scottish Cup Final only a fortnight away, there has to be a danger that a player could pick up an injury before then.
However, it is up to Lennon, and he hasn’t done a bad job as interim manager so far. He is unbeaten since taking over from Brendan Rodgers. Lennon will not want that record to end against the Hoops’ most bitter rivals. Going by his comments, he plans to win the game, and win it well.
