Neil Lennon has disclosed that he expects his Celtic team will go all out for victory against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on Saturday, even though a point would be enough to win the title.
Lennon has revealed that the natural instinct of his team is to play for the win, and that playing for a draw just doesn’t fit into their way of thinking.
“We’re not going up to hold off for a draw” he said, as reported by Sky Sports.

“Win the game”
“We’re not programmed that way. We are going to try to win the game.”
Celtic have never been known to play for a draw, especially in Scottish football.

It is a different story in Europe, but in Scotland, the Hoops are expected to be on the front-foot at all times.
Fans heartened by Lennon’s comments
Celtic fans will be heartened to see those comments from Lennon.

Since he has taken over from Brendan Rodgers, the team have struggled at times to play the way a Celtic team should play.
A lack of goals in particular has been a real concern.
However, it seems that he is going to tell the players to put on a show at Pittodrie.
Should the Hoops win the league in style, it would be a feather in Lennon’s cap. It could also influence who the next permanent manager is.
The title winning game should be a celebratory statement of intent, not a dull draw. Lennon seems to recognise that.
