Celtic boss Neil Lennon has indicated that some players who missed out against AIK in midweek could start for the Hoops against Hearts on Sunday.

With the Hoops having three big games in seven days, it would not be surprising to see the Hoops boss make some changes for the game against Craig Levein’s side.

The duo who may return to the side are Olivier Ntcham and Nir Bitton.

“You don’t want to make wholesale changes” Lennon said, as reported by the Scotsman.

“Bitton and Ntcham might come into our thinking.”

If Bitton returns to the side it could be in central defence. He has played there for the Hoops on a number of occasions so far this season.

You would imagine that it would be in place of Jozo Simunovic. Christopher Jullien needs a run of games so it makes sense to keep him in the side.

A capable replacement for veteran

As for Ntcham, he could replace Scott Brown in the middle of the park. Playing two games in less than a week might be too much for the Hoops skipper. Ntcham is a more than capable replacement.

As Neil Lennon says though, you don’t want to make that many changes in a team. However, it would not be a bad idea to bring Bitton and Ntcham into the team.

The duo would be more than useful additions to the starting line-up, and can help Celtic maintain their 100% record in the league.
