One of the interesting aspects about Celtic’s Betfred Cup quarter-final against Partick Thistle, is that a former Hoops title winner will be lining up for Partick against Celtic.
That player is one who has to be said, will not get the best of receptions from the home support. The player in question – Kenny Miller.
Miller has been a man of many clubs in his career, and one of those clubs was Celtic. He was at the Hoops in the 2006-07 season, and helped the club to the domestic double.
However, it was who he signed for after leaving Celtic for Derby, that will account for his unpopularity. He rejoined bitter rivals Rangers, who he had played for before joining the Hoops from Wolves.
Scored often against the Hoops

Unfortunately, whilst at Rangers, he got into the habit of scoring against Celtic on a regular basis. Intriguingly, whilst at Celtic he only managed to find the back of the net once against Rangers.
His record of scoring goals against Celtic will no doubt be a factor when he takes to the pitch against the Hoops. Will he get booed by the Hoops support? You would think that would be the case.
Featured in some notable wins

Even though Miller found it difficult to find the back of the net for the Hoops, he did score some important goals for the Hoops, not only against Rangers, but in the Champions League.
However, that has mostly all been forgotten about after he rejoined Rangers. You can’t really blame the Hoops support for that.
Now Miller is at Partick Thistle, making him one of the few players to have played for three clubs from Glasgow. He will be one of Thistle’s danger men on the night, as he has proved this season that he still has what it takes to play in the Championship.
Hopefully his record of scoring against Celtic does not continue in his latest meeting against the Hoops.
