Neil Lennon has announced the Celtic team that will take on Kilmarnock in the Hoops return to league action at Rugby Park.
The team, which was revealed on Celtic’s Twitter account a short time ago, is as follows:
Starting XI: Forster; Simunovic, Jullien, Ajer; Frimpong, Brown, Ntcham, McGregor, Hayes; Griffiths, Edouard
Substitutes: Gordon, Taylor, Bauer, Arzani, Johnston, Bayo, Klimala
The big news to take away from the starting line-up is that the Hoops keep with the two striker formation they played against Partick Thistle.
However, the team lines up in a 3-5-2, and Jozo Simunovic and Jonny Hayes get the nod to start with Greg Taylor and Tom Rogic missing out.
Some Celtic fans on social media have given their reaction to the team selected by Neil Lennon.
One fan said that it was an ‘interesting line-up’. Another was pleased to see Jonny Hayes return to the side.
Here are some of the best reactions from social media to the team that will start at Rugby Park:

Here they come again, the ‘I can pick a better team CSC’. Let’s get the job done Celtic, no matter how much of a grind it needs to be, bring the 3pts home, no injuries, and no contentious officiating decisions, let’s make some noise for the Bhoys 🍀

No Rogic? I genuinely thought he played class against Partick

I'd have gone Taylor over Hayes but other than that, I like it

Might miss Rogic behind the strikers but interesting line up.

Celtic’s first league game since the loss against Rangers last month is certainly an important one. The Hoops will want to bounce back from that defeat, which leaves them only two points clear at the top of the league.
The Hoops won’t have it easy though. Kilmarnock’s artificial pitch at Rugby Park is not an easy place to play football on.
Hoops will need to play well to pick up win
Therefore, Neil Lennon’s side will need to be at their best to pick up the win against what could be stuffy opponents.
No doubt some Hoops fans will be keeping a close eye on how title rivals Rangers get on when they kick off at the same time against St Mirren.
However, it is really about what Celtic do on the night. Hopefully the Hoops are able to get their league campaign back on track following the loss to Rangers. A good performance at Rugby Park should be enough to do that.
