Celtic boss Neil Lennon has confirmed that three players will miss the Hoops’ match against Hamilton on Saturday.
The trio of players are Nir Bitton, Jozo Simunovic and Mikey Johnston.
“Ongoing knee problem”
“The only absentees we have is Nir who is out for three weeks with a hamstring injury. Mikey with a groin injury and Jozo with an ongoing knee problem, but he’s seeing a specialist today” Lennon confirmed to the Celtic Twitter account.

The situations with Bitton and Simunovic will be most concerning to the Hoops boss. Bitton was excellent in the recent win over Rangers, and was unfortunate to suffer an injury during the game.
Simunovic has had more than a few injury issues in his time with Celtic, but the recent one is a pity as towards the end of last season he was forming a good partnership with Kristoffer Ajer.
The Johnston injury the Hoops can cope with more easily, as they have a host of players who can play on the wing.
Hoops have big enough squad to cope with injuries
The good thing about Celtic having such a big squad is that situations problems like this aren’t quite as bad as they could be for other teams.
It would be a struggle for many teams in Scotland in particular to deal with two centre-backs being out for a while. Thankfully the Hoops have the resources to deal with that.
That doesn’t mean that the players won’t be missed though. Neil Lennon will be eager to have the trio back in his Celtic squad as soon as possible.
That might well be the case with Johnston. However, he might have to wait a while before Bitton and Simunovic return to the Celtic first-team.
