Celtic will require as many as six buses to take them to and from the fixture against Ross County in Dingwall this weekend, Neil Lennon claims.
The Bhoys play against the Staggies in the Scottish Premiership tomorrow night – a mammoth trip that has presented a logistical challenge to the club.
Due to social distancing guidelines, a convoy of Celtic players and staff will be making the trip from Glasgow to the Highlands today.
As quoted by The Scottish Sun, manager Neil Lennon explained: “I think the talk of privilege is overplayed. The tests have been carried out at great expense by a lot of the clubs all season.
“For Ross County this weekend, we got tested on Friday. Then we travel up on five or six buses to stay at a hotel, which will probably be opened just for us.
“We will be in our own area, and then we will travel to the stadium in five buses. Then we will travel home on five buses.
“It is strange, but I’m not complaining about it. I’m happy that football’s going ahead. The players’ health and well-being is really important.”
Nothing about this season is normal. The entire campaign has been strange, as Lennon puts it. But it’s nothing the competition aren’t contending with.
It’s my understanding that the number of buses required is due to the sheer amount of Celtic employees travelling to Dingwall.
Other, smaller clubs, may get away with taking three buses or so across large distances, such as up to Aberdeen from the Glasgow area.

The late kick-off just makes it all the more difficult tomorrow of course. Celtic won’t return home until the early hours of the morning after travelling back from the Highlands.
However, with no mid-week match before we play Aberdeen next weekend, that shouldn’t be too difficult to overcome.
Hopefully we can do the business tomorrow night and keep our winning run going.
In other news, Celtic are looking to bring a French talent into Lennoxtown training next week.
