Celtic boss Neil Lennon has no doubt been thinking about the style of play that the Hoops will adapt for their upcoming encounter against Rangers on Sunday.
The Hoops boss has seen his Celtic side turn in contrasting performances in their two games against Rangers so far this season.
The 2-0 win over Rangers in September was a tactical masterclass, as the Hoops nullified the Ibrox side’s attack. On the other hand, the 1-0 Betfred Cup Final win saw the Hoops rely on Fraser Forster, after a poor display.
Now the Hoops boss seems to have indicated how Celtic will play as they prepare to take on their bitter rivals at home for the first time this season. The Hoops boss wants Celtic to ‘go for it’.
“Our philosophy won’t change”

“We go for it in every game. Our philosophy won’t change on Sunday, and we’ll have the bulk of support which is a big advantage” he told the Celtic Twitter account.
The support will make a difference, as the Hoops have won both games at Celtic Park since both teams reduced the away allocation for the fixture. However, Celtic managed to cast aside that factor in the win at Ibrox in September.
Majority of Hoops fans will want team to attack

It is interesting that Lennon has indicated that Celtic will ‘go for it’. That is what the majority of Celtic fans will imagine will happen as the Hoops are at home. An early goal would put Rangers on the back foot, and put the Hoops in pole position to pick up the win, which would allow Celtic to move eight points clear at the top of the league.
The Celtic Park crowd may well roar the Hoops on to play in a more attacking style. Should that pay off and Neil Lennon’s side picks up the three points, then the Hoops boss can reflect on a hugely successful 2019 as Celtic manager.
