Footage posted to social media by in-house club channel Celtic TV shows the moment captain Scott Brown embraced Craig Gordon at the end of yesterday’s Scottish Cup Final.

Celtic won a nerve-wracking, pulsating final on penalties after a 3-3 draw after extra time. Craig Gordon played his part throughout the afternoon, suffering lows as well as enjoying highs before ultimate defeat.

The former Celtic number one looked shattered in the mouth of the Hearts goal. Leigh Griffiths and Conor Hazard led the commiserations, with the young goalkeeper helping one of his mentors up to console him.

The captain would then head over to embrace his long-time ex-teammate.

It was a great moment, captured by the ‘unique angle’ from the Celtic TV cameras.

They posted the footage to social media site Twitter today.

The video, in general, is excellent from start to finish. With no crowd in place, you hear the interaction between the players and what it meant for them to win the trophy.

It’s clear to see that whatever people say about this team, they have a sense of togetherness and a bond right now.

Hopefully, it’s something that can be harnessed on the pitch consistently from this point on.

Having won three games in a row, albeit one of penalties, this should be the start of a long winning run.

Celtic have three matches between now and Ibrox. If we can pick up maximum points heading across the city, anything can happen in the derby.

In other news, Conor Hazard was mature on and off the pitch yesterday.
