Celtic boss Neil Lennon recently disclosed that Nir Bitton is back in training for Celtic, and his comeback has come at just the right time for the Hoops.
The player has been missed in recent weeks, as the Celtic defence has struggled. This was particularly the case in the recent 2-0 loss to Livingston.
Neither Christopher Jullien nor Kristoffer Ajer covered themselves in glory with that performance. Ajer in particular has been out of form for parts of this season.
Performed well before injury

Therefore, Bitton should return to the Hoops starting line-up after the international break. Before he got injured, Bitton had performed well for the club at centre-back.
He and Jullien were excellent in the 2-0 win over Rangers at Ibrox. Could it be that the duo are Celtic’s number one centre-back partnership?
That might well be the case. With Ajer currently out of form, Bitton seems like the ideal player to replace him in the Hoops side.
Celtic will need to find their best centre-back partnership soon. There are a lot of big games coming up, and the team cannot afford to drop any more points.
Therefore, Neil Lennon should select Bitton alongside Jullien for the match against Ross County after the international break.
Game seems like good test for player

That game seems like a good test for Bitton. County are in decent form, so could cause the Hoops a few issues on the day. However, Celtic will have the bulk of possession, and it seems like a good game to ease Bitton back into the side for.
Should the duo play well, then Lennon should stick with the partnership for the time being. There is no doubt that Ajer is good enough to get over his current run of form.
However, Bitton has proved already this season that he should be given a chance at centre-back. He should be given another one after the international break.
