Odsonne Edouard’s injury is the talk of the night after Celtic hammered Motherwell 3-0 at Celtic Park.
Goals from Anthony Ralston, Scott Sinclair, and Mikey Johnston sealed the deal tonight. It was a huge result that lifts Celtic back to the summit of the Premiership. The fans will now surely be demanding that the club stay there heading into the New Year.
There were plenty of positives to come out of tonight. Ralston’s Celtic career looks to be back on the up, whilst Johnston electrified with a stunning goal.

Yet, Edouard’s injury remains the main cause for concern ahead of three big matches between now and the Winter break.
The supporters, therefore, took to Twitter to voice their worry at what’s going to be an interesting case to watch over the next few days.

An incredible situation for Celtic
How Celtic have managed to find themselves in a situation with potentially no strikers is incredible. The finger-pointing will see the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Lee Congerton in the spotlight, but it doesn’t really matter.
Edouard produced a decent display against Motherwell before he went off before the break. Trying to now come up with a solution to the striking crises is what must be focused on.
There is, of course, Jack Aitchison waiting in the wings at youth level. Rodgers, however, has been in this situation before with no forwards available and still chose to leave the youngster in the reserves.

If Ryan Christie and Tom Rogic are available for Saturday, then he may play the former as a false-nine. This is something Christie had to get used to when he first broke into the Celtic side. That’s another alternative for Rodgers.
Scott Sinclair and James Forrest have also played there in the past, but it doesn’t affect their game well at all.
It could just be a precautionary injury to Edouard. He did look like he was holding his groin, but Rodgers has stated it will be assessed over the next 24 hours.
That means fans will be forced to sweat a little longer waiting on the news. Here’s hoping, however, that it’s positive news.
