Oliver Burke’s goal and performance against Hibernian has seen fans sit up and take notice of him.
The Scotland international signed to mixed reactions from the Celtic support. Sections of the fan-base were happy to get a raw talent in for six months, whilst others were left totally underwhelmed.

But the attacking midfielder, who’s been playing as a striker for Celtic, has started his Hoops career on fire. His deflected goal in the 2-0 win against Hibs last night took him to three goals since arriving in January.
And supporters are now starting to collectively appreciate the style and attributes Burke brings to the team. Reacting on Twitter to his performance, here’s a look at what some of the Celtic fans are saying.

Many of us guilty of underestimating him
Considering Celtic had just come off the back of a defeat to Rangers at Ibrox, the supporters were wanting something to get behind. Burke for a few months certainly didn’t cut it in the eyes of many.
But it appears the majority of us are guilty of underestimating him. Yes, he may have only played five times this season and bagged one goal this season before moving to Parkhead, but more fool West Brom. It’s clear they have a sensational talent on their hands, and it’s Celtic currently reaping the rewards of it.

At the same time Burke was preserving Celtic’s six-point lead at the top of the Premiership, his parent club were getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Brighton.
But he’s been proving a point to our supporters just as he has been doing to his parent club. The Scotland international is turning into such a positive team-player. His power and pace up top is becoming a handful for any Scottish defence.
And with his game improving all the time, he’s going to be vital if Celtic are going to secure eight-in-a-row. In the meantime, however, the Hoops supporters have certainly been changing their minds on him, if they hadn’t already.
