After the excitement of the 2-1 Europa League win over Lazio, its back to league business for the Hoops, as they aim to win their first away match in three with a lunchtime visit to Aberdeen.

A win for the Hoops would keep the momentum for Neil Lennon’s side going after that memorable win over Lazio. Lennon will want to see Celtic’s away record improve, so you imagine that he will pick a very strong side.

Here we give our prediction of how Celtic will line-up at Pittodrie:

The Team

In goals, there is only one option – Europa League hero Fraser Forster. His performance against the Italian side will live long in the memory, with his injury time save from Danilo Cataldi’s strike one that has to go down as one of the best ever saves at Celtic Park.

At left-back it seems highly likely that Boli Bolingoli will keep his place, but there could be a change on the other side of the pitch. Hatem Abd Elhamed went off with an injury during the win over Lazio. Look for Moritz Bauer to get the nod to replace him. His experience will count more than that Jeremie Frimpong’s youthfulness.

In central defence, the duo of Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien will continue. The pair will need to be at their best to deal with the threat of in-form striker Sam Cosgrove.

Onto midfield, and with Olivier Ntcham perhaps not fit Neil Lennon will stick with the tried and true combination of Callum McGregor and Scott Brown. However, there will be a change in the attacking midfield role, as Ryan Christie is suspended.

The only choice to replace him is Tom Rogic, who has a terrific record against the Pittodrie team. On the wings, James Forrest will keep his place and Mohamed Elyounoussi looks set to start on the other side. Up front, Odsonne Edouard will be looking to score at Pittodrie for the third game in a row.

As usual, here is a look at the team in list form:

GK – Fraser Forster

RB – Moritz Bauer

CB – Christopher Jullien

CB – Kristoffer Ajer

LB – Boli Bolingoli

CM – Scott Brown

CM – Callum McGregor

RM – James Forrest

CAM – Tom Rogic

LM – Mohamed Elyounoussi
