Celtic return to league action on Sunday against Hibernian, following the midweek 2-0 loss to Cluj. The Hoops will go into the game either in second place, or with a chance to increase the lead at the top of the league, as Rangers play Motherwell before the Celtic game kicks-off.

With that in mind, Neil Lennon is guaranteed to pick a very strong side. The players who were given a well-deserved rest against Cluj will surely return to the starting line-up.

Betfred Cup trophy to be paraded before game?

The Celtic fans will also get the chance to see the Hoops Hampden Park heroes of the Betfred Cup Final in action. Maybe the trophy will be paraded before the game, that would be a nice touch.

Let us look at the team that we predict will be selected by Neil Lennon for the game against Hibs.

In goals there is only one option – the great wall himself, Fraser Forster. He will get a huge reception from the Celtic support for his performance against Rangers.

At right-back, Jeremie Frimpong should return to the side after missing out against Cluj, whilst at left-back we are going for Greg Taylor to get the nod to start over Boli Bolingoli.

At centre-back, expect the duo of Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer to be restored to the middle of the Hoops defence.

The midfield is likely to be completely changed from the one which started in Romania. Neither Scott Brown or Callum McGregor started against Cluj, expect that to change against Hibs.

In attacking midfield, Ryan Christie will return to the side to attempt to add to his goal tally of 16 so far this season.

On the right-hand side of attack, James Forrest seems certain to return to the starting line-up, whilst we believe Mikey Johnston will be one of the few players that started against Cluj that will start against Hibs.

Up-front, the man who changed the Betfred Cup Final – Odsonne Edouard – has to start the game. He might not be 100% fit, but he showed in his appearance at Hampden just how important he is to the side. Therefore, he should start against.

As always, here is the team in list form:

GK – Fraser Forster

RB – Jeremie Frimpong

CB – Christopher Jullien

CB – Kristoffer Ajer

LB – Greg Taylor

CM – Scott Brown

CM – Callum McGregor

RW – James Forrest

AM – Ryan Christie

LW – Mikey Johnston

ST – Odsonne Edouard
