Celtic start their run of nine games in December with a league clash against Ross County in Dingwall on Sunday lunchtime. The game will be tough as it comes only a few days after the Hoops defeated Rennes 3-1 in the Europa League.
However, Celtic should go into the match full of confidence and belief as they have won their last nine games in all competitions.
With the Hoops only top of the league on goal difference, you would expect manager Neil Lennon to pick a strong side to pick up the three points, even though the Hoops played in midweek.
In goals there is only one option – Fraser Forster. He has been in excellent form for the Hoops this season, and there is no doubt he will continue to be the Hoops goalkeeper for the foreseeable future.
At left-back Greg Taylor should make only his third start for the Hoops, he impressed against Rennes. At right-back, we are tipping Jeremie Frimpong to return to the side. He hasn’t put a foot wrong since making his debut for the Hoops.
The centre-back pairing of Christopher Jullien and Kristoffer Ajer look set to keep their place in the heart of the Hoops defence.
Midfield is where things could get interesting. Ryan Christie should keep his place in the team, but move back to his familiar attacking midfield role. Scott Brown and Callum McGregor will undoubtedly keep their places in side.
First start of the season for winger
However, where does that leave Olivier Ntcham? He played in the attacking midfield role against Rennes. He should be replaced by Scott Sinclair, who will be making his first start of the season on the right wing. James Forrest played well on the left wing against Rennes, he should start in that position against Ross County.
As for the striker, Odsonne Eoduard should not be risked for the game after missing out against Rennes. Despite Lewis Morgan playing well against Rennes, Leigh Griffiths is the man for the role. He might not have started for the Hoops since August, but he has looked sharp in his substitute apperances since returning from injury.
Your predicted eleven to start against Ross County is:
GK – Fraser Forster
RB – Jeremie Frimpong
CB – Christopher Jullien
CB – Kristoffer Ajer
LB – Greg Taylor
CM – Scott Brown
CM – Callum McGregor
RW – Scott Sinclair
AM – Ryan Christie
LW – James Forrest
ST – Leigh Griffiths
