Does only a fool predict football results? Possibly. Which is why we at 67HH are going to predict the results of Celtic’s next five fixtures.

The fixtures, which begin at Easter Road next Saturday, are at the start of a season-defining run which takes in the Premiership, the Europa League, the Betfred Cup and the Scottish Cup. However, the next five games feature the Europa League and the Premiership only.

With the Hoops struggling in Europe, you would imagine that Celtic will be focusing on the league. However, with significant money at stake for every point gained in the Europa League, Celtic will still be battling for every point available.

One thing to note – the Hoops are due to play a Betfred Cup game between the Prague and Milan games. But as the draw has not been made, we can’t comment on that.

Now, let the predicting begin!

HIBERNIAN V CELTIC (21.11.20)

This will not be an easy game for the Hoops. It will be tough test at a venue that Celtic haven’t always had it easy at. One other factor to take into account is that many players are on international duty and won’t get back until a few days before the game.

A new dawn beckons for Celtic in Europe, as Joe Hart shows his class once again

However, the same was said before Celtic’s trip to Fir Park, and the Hoops triumphed in style. Celtic might not win by three goals, but the Hoops have the players to get the match won, and pick up a vital three points.

PREDICTION: HIBERNIAN 1 CELTIC 3

SPARTA PRAGUE V CELTIC (26.11.20)

Celtic will be out to put some wrongs to right in this game. The Hoops flopped badly in the home game against Prague, and Neil Lennon will know that isn’t the real Celtic that played in that game.

With that in mind, the Hoops will look to be a lot more stubborn in this game. Celtic will be out to concede as few chances as possible to try and get the Europa League dream alive. That might not happen, but expect the Hoops to work hard for a creditable point.

PREDICTION: SPARTA PRAGUE 1 CELTIC 1

MILAN V CELTIC (3.12.20)

Another game that will see Celtic out to make amends for what was a poor display for the most part in the first meeting between the teams. It will be interesting to take into account if Neil Lennon might decide to mix and match his team, with so many fixtures in a short period of time.

However, those that do feature in the team couldn’t fail to be inspired by the legendary San Siro, where the game will take place. Will that be enough for Celtic to get a result in Milan? Maybe not. But expect the Hoops to put in a battling performance. Neil Lennon will expect nothing less.

PREDICTION: MILAN 2 CELTIC 1

CELTIC V ST JOHNSTONE (6.12.20)

At last, for the first time in almost two months, a Celtic home league game! The Hoops need to get back on track at home in the league, as the last game played at Celtic Park was the loss to Rangers.

The Hoops didn’t have it easy against St Johnstone in Perth earlier this season, having to rely on two late goals, but it should be a different story at home. Expect a comfortable Hoops win.

PREDICTION: CELTIC 3 ST JOHNSTONE 0

CELTIC V LILLE (10.12.20)

The final game of the five, and a chance for Celtic to get a first Europa League group stage win of the season. It should not be forgotten about just how much the Hoops dominated large parts of the first meeting between the teams.

Lille might have a bit more to play for in the group stage, but Celtic should take heart from that first meeting between the teams. Neil Lennon will demand that his players finish the European campaign with a flourish, and that is what we predict will happen.

PREDICTION: CELTIC 2 LILLE 1

In other news, Gordon Strachan has disclosed that he didn’t want David Marshall to leave Celtic.
