Celtic head to Ibrox on Sunday to take on bitter rivals Rangers in the last Glasgow derby of the season. The Hoops should have plenty of confidence going into the game.

Not only have the Hoops recently been crowned league champions, but a statistic revealed by Sky Sports points toward a Celtic success at Ibrox.

In Celtic’s last seven away games – since the 1-0 loss to Rangers in December – the Hoops have won six and drawn one of those games.

Few goals conceded

They have scored 11 goals in those six games, and conceded only once.

That is a remarkable record for a team which struggled away from home before the winter break.

It has been the away performances which have helped the Hoops win the league for the eighth season in a row.

The wins at Kilmarnock, Hearts and Dundee were vital in helping the Hoops establish a lead at the top of the league.

Full of confidence

The never-say-die attitude coupled with some great defending has transformed the Celtic away record. As a result, the team should be full of confidence heading to Ibrox.

The game against Rangers will probably be the most difficult that the Hoops have faced since their last trip to Ibrox.

But it still shouldn’t hold any fears for this Celtic team. They have passed every test they have faced in the last few months. This next one should not be any different.
