Celtic celebrated their first fixture at home since winning the title with a very convincing performance against Hibs.
Celtic beat Hibs 3-1 after the capital club took a shock lead in the 25th minute at Parkhead against the run of play.
Martin Boyle put the visitors 1-0 up but that lead quickly evaporated after Nicolas Kuhn hit Celtic’s equaliser and then two minutes later, Adam Idah put the Hoops ahead.
But it was at Reo Hatate’s goal, Celtic’s third, where the Japan midfielder paid tribute to Arne Engels in a nice touch of class for his Hoops teammate.

Reo Hatate credits Arne Engels for Celtic goal vs Hibs
Arne Engels has been enjoying a good first season at Celtic and has won the Young Player of the Year award despite some strange criticism from some quarters.
However, after Hatate sealed Celtic’s win against Hibs with his goal, the Japanese midfielder credited Engels for his part in the goal.
Engels’ quick thinking and perfectly weighted pass helped tee up Hatate to beautifully finish his 11th goal of the season.
Arne Engels’ debut season vs Reo Hatate’s at Celtic
Reo Hatate joined Celtic in December 2022 under the Ange Postecoglou revolution. The international midfielder enjoyed a blistering start to his career with big goals against Hearts and Rangers.
But how does Hatate’s first full season stats compare to what Arne Engels has done at Celtic this season?
