Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie has been one of the Hoops’ best players this season. He has scored 11 goals from midfield, which is a truly remarkable record so early on in the season.
However, he made one of his few mistakes of the season so far when he was red carded in the first-half of the recent match against Livingston.
Christie was shown a straight red for a foul on Scott Robinson in the first-half of the game, with the match goalless. That incident changed the game, and Livingston went on to win the match 2-0.
Now Christie has spoken out about the incident, and he has admitted that he deserved to be sent-off.
“I had no complaints”

“I knew straight away it was a shocking challenge and I had no complaints with the referee or anything like that. It was a terrible challenge” he said, as reported by the Daily Record.
“But it’s important, and my gaffer at the club said it, that the most important thing is you bounce back and you learn from it” he concluded.
Good management by Hoops boss

That is good management from Neil Lennon. The main thing to take away from the incident is that Christie learns from his mistake.
He will not want a repeat of an incident like that to happen again this season. These things happen to a player, they can make a mistake now and then. That is what Christie did. He will know now, after speaking to the Hoops manager, not to make an error like that again.
