Celtic are gearing up for their biggest game of the domestic season so far as they prepare to face Rangers.

The Hoops will pause their league campaign to compete in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against their fierce rivals, where both teams have new faces in the dugout.

Martin O’Neill returned to Parkhead on an interim basis following Brendan Rodgers’ resignation while Rangers have Danny Rohl at the helm after Russell Martin was sacked.

Taking place at Hampden Park on Sunday 2 November, both teams know that this could make or break their season.

Ahead of the mammoth game, here is everything you need to know about getting to the home of Scottish football this weekend.

How to get to Hampden Park

By train

This is the easiest way to get to the stadium if you are coming from Glasgow city centre.

Trains running from Glasgow Central will take you to either one of Mount Florida or King’s Park.

From there it is a five-minute walk to the stadium.

ScotRail have confirmed that Celtic fans must travel to King’s Park before and after kick-off, with queuing systems in place.

From Glasgow Central, supporters must queue on the station concourse to allow for a smooth trip.

By bus

Several buses travel to Hampden Park from the city centre on a regular basis.

If you are taking this route, any of the following buses will take you to the stadium.

By car

For those making the journey by car, the stadium is five minutes from Junction 1a of the M74.

As you arrive, exit onto Polmadie Road/A728 and follow it until it merges into Aikenhead Road.

Parking will be restricted on match day due to the number of supporters attending.

Walking

Walking to Hampden Park usually takes about 45 minutes from Glasgow City centre.

It is roughly around three miles and could take longer due to the number of people attending the game, but anywhere between 40 minutes and an hour is what it should take to get there.
