Celtic captain Scott Brown has taken to Instagram with the amusing complaint that he wasn’t awarded credit for scoring a goal against Livingston on Saturday.
Jack Fitzwater netted an unfortunate own goal in the second half of the encounter to put the Bhoys 3-0 up at the time.
The ball cannoned off the Livingston man after an ambitious Brown diving header from a corner that went wayward.
Brown has posted on the social media site since full-time with tongue-in-cheek, saying: “Still can’t believe I didn’t get credited with this goal😂😂. Great performance yesterday from the lads and some good goals 🍀”
Double goal hero Mohamed Elyounoussi is backing up his captain too!
He replied: “Definitely your goal👀😂”
In all seriousness, Brown will be desperate to sign off with one last Celtic goal before his departure to Aberdeen this summer.
Opportunities are running out for him to get on the scoresheet, but there are some high profile encounters ahead.
Perhaps the Scottish Cup game at Ibrox? The captain has history in that regard, famously netting a scorcher at the venue in 2012’s competition before celebrating in front of El Hadji Diouf.
I’m not sure it’s going to come via a diving header, but you never know!
I’d love to see that celebration one more time.
In other news, it’s not looking great for Patryk Klimala at Celtic.
