There isn’t a lot to smile about after that first game in charge for Wilfried Nancy.

Celtic were beaten by Hearts on Sunday as the league leaders restored their three-point advantage.

It was a nightmare start for the Frenchman, who saw his team booed off after an abject display.

Nancy will have to go back to the tactics board and have a huge rethink before the game against Roma on Thursday.

While it may have been a toothless display, that still wasn’t enough to overshadow an embarrassing moment for a senior Celtic figure.

Paul Tisdale spotted sleeping in the Celtic Park stands

Fans were left disgruntled by what they saw from Celtic on Sunday afternoon.

A lack of threat in front of goal, misplaced passes and an overall lack of effort would be enough to wind people up, but Paul Tisdale’s moment took it to the next level.

Tisdale, who is working as the head of football operations, was seemingly spotted by the Sky Sports cameras, looking like he had been asleep.

Not a good look at all… Do you have faith in Paul Tisdale to make the right decisions for the club?

He did eventually open his eyes but it was a frankly embarrassing situation for everyone associatedwith the club.

Tensions are already high as Celtic fans staged a peaceful pre-match protest, and incidents like this will never help.

Paul Tisdale played a huge part in Wilfried Nancy appointment

The sleepy head of football operations hasn’t faced as much public scrutiny as members of the board, but more eyes will be on him after this defeat.

Not only is the sleeping incident a bad look for the club, it also shows that he has little faith in an appointment he made himself.

Tisdale played a huge role in prising Nancy away from Columbus Crew, and if this move fails, his job could be in jeopardy.
