Celtic attacking midfielder Tom Rogic continued his comeback into Neil Lennon’s first-team with 90 minutes under his belt against Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
It was the Australian’s fourth appearance of the season so far. He’d only previously completed a full 90 minutes once this term prior to yesterday’s match.
Last season he managed that on just eleven occasions.
Fitness and stamina are not seen as his strongest attributes, but he’ll be delighted to get some good work done ahead of a heavy schedule for Celtic between now and the new year.
Ryan Christie has made the central attacking midfield position his own of late, with Rogic struggling with a number of injury problems since the end of last season.
The Scotland international was of course suspended for yesterday’s 6-0 rout of the Highlanders after picking up a red card against Livingston.
The match represented a big opportunity for Rogic then.
Although he was not a consistent stand-out throughout, he did show a few glimpses of the quality he can provide when he reaches full fitness again.

Fans offered a mixed response to his performance, with some noting he is still far from his peak, like the majority of 2019 so far.
Others though were simply surprised to see him make it through the match without being subbed off or delighted to see him show signs of progress.
