Some Celtic fans have taken to social media to heap praise on Hoops goalkeeper Scott Bain. The shot stopper turned in a superb performance against Kilmarnock, in a game which ended 1-0 to the Hoops.

He was at his best in the first-half, with a great one-on-one save from Chris Burke which prevented the Rugby Park side from taking the lead.

Celtic fans were certainly impressed with Bain’s performance, one going as far as to call the goalkeeper ‘world-class’.

Bain has been one of Celtic’s best players this season. He has not looked back since replacing Craig Gordon as the Hoops’ number one goalkeeper in January.

In fact, it could even be considered that one of the best things Brendan Rodgers done at Celtic before leaving the club was make Bain the new goalkeeper.

Calmness and composure

He has a calmness and composure that his predecessor Craig Gordon seemed to lack earlier this season. It is no surprise that Neil Lennon elected to stick with Bain in goals when he took over as interim manager.

It is the sign of how good a player Bain has been that even when Celtic aren’t at their best, the goalkeeper has always been in excellent form.

All Celtic fans will hope Bain’s great form continues until the end of the season.
