Some Celtic supporters were left impressed by the impact of youngster Jeremie Frimpong after he added spark to the Bhoys’ performance away to Livingston tonight.
With Greg Taylor struggling and Celtic trailing in the match 2-1, manager Neil Lennon took the decision to bring on Frimpong for the Scotland international and switch James Forrest to the left flank.
The Hoops teenager was immediately impressive, giving Celtic more of a presence in the attacking third.
He used his pace and quick feet to stretch the Livingston defence a number of times.
Ultimately Celtic’s late attacking ambition would see the team equalise in injury time through Tom Rogic, with the match finishing 2-2.
Encouragingly we’ve actually extended our lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership after Rangers lost at home to Hamilton.
There’s no doubt though that the result and performance is a wake-up call for Celtic heading into the final stages of the season.
Though we have a healthy 13-point advantage at the top of the table, there’s still work to be done to secure nine-in-a-row.
Perhaps the overall display will see Lennon consider his playing options going forward too.

It’d be brilliant to see Frimpong in the next starting lineup, for example.
These fans were impressed with the youngster’s performance, taking to Twitter to share their thoughts…
