Some Celtic fans on social media were not impressed with Christopher Jullien’s performance against Dunfermline in the Betfred Cup.
The centre-back was starting his third game for the Hoops since signing for £7 million from Toulouse. However, he didn’t have the best of games.
Early mistake almost costly

An early mistake allowed Kevin Nisbet in, and he missed a great chance to give the Championship side the lead, which thankfully he missed. To make matters worse, he missed a great chance to give the Hoops the lead just before half-time. He also put a header just wide that would have won the game in normal time.
The Hoops did manage to win the game though, although it did take until extra-time for the Hoops to win 2-1.
Didn’t look comfortable during game

However, Jullien just didn’t look comfortable during the game. One fan on social media claimed that the player was ‘terrible’.
Here are some of the best reactions from social media to the defender’s performance:
Jullien looks terrible.
Starting formation was so bad we've already changed it.

15 minutes in and I can see why Jullien doesn’t get a start

Neil Lennon and the Hoops support will need to hope that Jullien comes good after what looks to be a shaky start to his Celtic career.
At the moment it is easy to see why Jozo Simunovic and Kristoffer Ajer are the first choice centre-backs for the Hoops.
Jullien may have to bide his team for a regular first-team place if his performances do not improve. It promises to be an intriguing season for the Hoops defender.
