Some Celtic fans react to Christopher Jullien performance vs Aberdeen

Celtic centre-half Christopher Jullien has the happy knack of scoring goals at just the right time. He scored the late winner in the 2-1 win over Lazio, and scored the only goal of the Betfred Cup Final.

Now he has found the back of the net again. He gave the Hoops the lead against Aberdeen, in Celtic’s 2-1 win over the Dons on Saturday afternoon.

His goal came just moments after he had rattled the crossbar with a header. Jullien scored the opening goal as his volley bounced into the ground and went over Joe Lewis’ head and into the back of the net.

“What a signing”

Celtic fans on social media were certainly impressed with Jullien’s goal, and his performance overall. One fan declared ‘what a signing’, which has been the case. Another fan made the bold claim that he is the best Hoops centre-half of the last 10 years, aside from Virgil Van Dijk.

Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Jullien’s goal and performance:

It has to be said that Jullien had no part to play in Aberdeen’s equalising goal, as it was Kristoffer Ajer who was out jumped by Sam Cosgrove.

For the most part this season Ajer and Jullien have worked well together, which is all that Neil Lennon could have asked for.

Could be a mainstay for years

Jullien might have cost Celtic £7 million, but so far he has proved to be a bargain for the Hoops. He could well be a mainstay for the Hoops for years to come.

If he keeps up his run of good performances, then Jullien might well be sold for a 10 figure fee at some time in the future.

For the moment though, all he will be thinking about is helping the Hoops win nine in a row. If he can score more goals then all the better are Celtic’s chances for the title.
