Christopher Jullien continued his excellent progress in a Celtic shirt with a solid display away to Hamilton on Saturday.
The Hoops maintained their perfect start to the Scottish Premiership season with a 1-0 win over Accies. It’s now 15 points from 15 since the opening day.
Neil Lennon’s defence have also kept two consecutive clean sheets. The manager has found a four who can be both solid in attack and offer a fair amount of threat going forward.
Jullien has been key to that. In the recent derby he produced a man of the match calibre performance. Yesterday against Hamilton he barely gave them a sniff either, dominant in the air and strong in the tackle.
He’s now showing exactly why Celtic paid so much money for him in the summer. It’s hard to see who would replace him in the starting eleven when he is fit and available for selection.
With tougher tests on the horizon, notably in the UEFA Europa League, we’ll need him to step up his game more in the coming weeks and months.
