Celtic have announced the team that will take on Livingston as the Hoops return to league duty after the international break.

The team was revealed a short time ago on the club’s official Twitter account.

The big news is that Tom Rogic returns to the side after missing the last few games for the Hoops. Jonny Hayes continues at left-back, whilst the rest of the team is as expected. Jeremie Frimpong continues at right-back, whilst Leigh Griffiths is on the bench for the first tine since September. However, there is no place in the squad for Scott Sinclair.

Celtic go into the game looking to go three points clear of Rangers. They are in action against Hamilton on Sunday. It will also be good for the side to score a few goals. That would increase the goal difference between the sides. At the moment Celtic are one goal ahead of their bitter rivals.

Celtic will also be looking for revenge against a Livingston side who defeated Celtic 2-0 in the last league meeting between the sides.

The game against Livingston is the first of 11 that the Hoops will play in the run-up to the international break. The run of fixtures could lead to Celtic winning the Betfred Cup, finishing top of their Europa League, and extending their lead in the Premiership table.

Before all that though, it is important that Celtic get the three points against a Livingston side who could provide a stern test. However, should the Hoops play as well as they can, they should pick up the three points.
