Odsonne Edouard was hailed by Celtic fans for the role he played in the Hoops’ second goal against St Mirren. The Hoops striker stayed onside, and his pass set up James Forrest who fired the ball home from an angle.
The goal all but secured the three points for the Hoops, to ensure that they stayed top of the league ahead of Sunday’s game against Rangers.
Celtic’s goal showed all that was good about Edouard’s game. He started his run in his own half, which meant he was always onside. His run and pass was excellent, and his form this season seems to be getting better and better.
Played part in both Hoops goals

He also played a role in Celtic’s first goal, as his run forced the St Mirren defence into a mistake which Callum McGregor punished. The game ended 2-1 to Celtic, who stay clear at the top of the league ahead of Sunday’s game against Rangers.
Some Celtic fans on social media were full of praise for the role Edouard played in the goal. One fan described him as ‘a joy to watch’.

The only slight disappointment for Celtic is that Edouard didn’t find the back of the net himself. He was unfortunate to be judged offside when he found the back of the net early in the second-half. It was also a tad disappointing that Celtic didn’t get to sub Edouard early on, as they failed to kill off the game. However, Edouard dominated the game, and he has to be the best striker in Scotland this season.
Will be key man in Glasgow derby

Even though Edouard didn’t find the back of the net, he showed more than enough in the game to signal that he will be the main man for the Hoops against Rangers on Sunday. Hopefully he finds the back of the net in that game, he is more than good enough to be the match-winner for Celtic.
