Celtic reached next month’s Betfred Cup Final after an exciting 5-2 win over Hibs at Hampden Park. Most of Celtic’s players performed well on the night, but one stood out from the rest – Odsonne Edouard.
The striker was in imperious form, dominating the game. He set up Celtic’s second goal with a pass to Callum McGregor, and set up the third goal with an assist for Mohamed Elyounoussi.
Perhaps the only surprise was that Edouard didn’t find the back of the net himself. However, he was still excellent in the game.
“A different level”
Unsurprisingly, Celtic fans on social media were thrilled with Edouard’s display. One fan paid him a huge compliment by comparing Edouard to iconic Hoops striker Henrik Larsson. Another felt that he was on a ‘different level’.

Edouard has been in superb form for Celtic this season. He will have a huge role to play in the upcoming Europa League match against Lazio on Thursday.
Only downside is that teams will want to sign player
Perhaps the only downside to Edouard’s constant brilliance is that it will alert teams in bigger league to just how good a player he is.
Celtic fans should enjoy every game that he plays for the Hoops, because at his current rate of progression, he might not be at the Hoops for that many more seasons. For now though, he could be the man to lead Celtic to nine in a row.
