Celtic fans finally saw one of the architects of the ‘treble treble’ return to first-team action in the Betfred Cup quarter-final against Partick Thistle.
Scott Sinclair, who hasn’t featured in the first-team squad for a few weeks, made his return to the side as a second-half substitute.
Returned with a goal

He marked his return to the side with a goal, as Celtic cruised to a 5-0 win and booked a semi-final clash against Hibs.
Fans on social media were quick to hail Sinclair’s return to the side, and his goal. One fan just said ‘finally’ which could be the answer that is given by more than a few Celtic fans.
Here are some of the best reactions from social media to Sinclair’s return to the Celtic team:

It is fair to say that some Celtic fans seem delighted that Sinclair made his first Celtic appearance since the 5-2 win over Motherwell last month.
Will he appear in next league game?

However, will Sinclair now feature more often for the Hoops, after not making an appearance for over a month? That will depend on Neil Lennon.
Will he feel that Sinclair has more to offer the team than some other attacking players in the side? That remains to be seen.
However, Sinclair showed that he still has what it takes to be an influential player in the win over Partick. For that reason alone, he should at least be on the bench for the upcoming league game against Hibs. Perhaps he will come on and score again, he is certainly capable of it.
