Celtic have announced the starting line-up that will take on Lazio in Thursday night’s Europa League match at Celtic Park.

The team was revealed on Celtic’s Twitter account a short time ago.

The biggest news is that Ryan Christie returns to the starting line-up in place of Tom Rogic. That is one of two changes from the side which recently defeated Ross County, as Hatem Abd Elhamed replaces Jeremie Frimpong

The rest of the team really picks itself. Kristoffer Ajer and Christopher Jullien are the centre-backs, Scott Brown and Callum McGregor are in the middle of the park.

Going forward, James Forrest and Mohamed Elyounoussi are on the wings, with Odsonne Edouard the lone striker. It is arguably Celtic’s strongest team.

Some fans on social media have had their say on the team that was selected by the Hoops manager Neil Lennon. One fan said that the team selected was ‘super and strong’. Another was pleased to see both Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair on the bench.

Here are some of the best reactions from Celtic fans on social media to the team that will take on Lazio:

Celtic go into the game with a real chance of making it through to the last 32 of the Europa League. The Hoops currently sit at the top of Group E with four points.

A win would put them four points ahead of Lazio, which would be a real bonus. The Hoops will perhaps need to put on their best performance of the season to defeat the Italian side though.

Neil Lennon will be well aware of that though, and will have his team ready to go. Hopefully it will be another memorable European night at Celtic Park.
