Brown’s performance in Rennes was excellent, it is little wonder that fans have been giving him plaudits. It is just the latest in a series of good performances by Brown, who has been back to his best for Celtic this season.
New lease of life under manager
He seems to be playing with a new lease of life under permanent manager Neil Lennon. What was particularly impressive about Brown’s display in France was that he got booked in the first-half. He didn’t let that affect his game though. He continued to battle for the ball and be combative in the middle of the park.
Brown has played a lot of football already this season, and it could be an idea to give him a rest in the league game against Kilmarnock on Sunday.
However, so good has his recent run of form been that Brown will probably not want to miss the game. He will want to drive the Hoops on at the top of the league table.
If that is the case, keeping Brown on the bench for the Betfred Cup tie against Partick Thistle on Wednesday could be a better idea. If he is rested or not, it has been a great start to the season for Brown, long may it continue.
