Some Celtic fans want to know why Lennon is snubbing Shved

The absence of Marian Shved on Saturday has left some Celtic fans concerned.

The winger was named on the bench by Neil Lennon for the Hoops’ clash against Dunfermline on Saturday. However, he was unused across the 120 minutes of action.

Lennon chose to bring Lewis Morgan on in extra-time instead of the Ukrainian, having already brought Olivier Ntcham, James Forrest and Jonny Hayes into the match during the initial 90 minutes.

Shved’s only appearance for the Hoops to date remains coming off the bench against Nomme Kalju.

Despite scoring in that match, he’s not been given another opportunity.

He was a stand-out in the Ukrainian top-flight last term, scoring 15 goals.

Surely it is time to give him a real chance in the first-team?

If the manager feels he is not good enough to make an impact against a Scottish Championship side then there could be serious squad depth issues.

He may be predominately right-sided, but there have been opportunities to give him crucial minutes and yesterday was one of them.

There’s an argument to say he should have even started the fixture.

Fans are concerned about his lack of progress and Lennon’s refusal to play him. These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts this weekend.
