Celtic’s win over Hearts was about as comfortable as it gets at Tynecastle.
Although we were not at our clinical best, the 2-0 victory was never in doubt and at time they just couldn’t seem to cope without attacking play.
However, one of the talking points coming out of the fixture was Neil Lennon’s decision to start Jonny Hayes over Greg Taylor, then not substitute the left-back off even though he was playing poorly.
Boli Bolingoli returned to fitness last week but looked short of match sharpness against Cluj and Hibs, leaving the manager with a decision to make at left-back against the Jam Tarts.
The manager opted for Hayes, who has been a reliable utility man for Lennon since he returned as manager in February.
However, with Taylor the natural left-back and with much more future potential in the team, some are crying out for the summer signing to play more regularly.
Last night certainly seemed to be an opportunity to give him minutes, but the Scotland international remained rooted to the bench.

Taylor has made just four starts this season but for me, has looked pretty good in each one. He looks to be a resolute defender and fairly comfortable getting into the opposition half.
Lennon clearly has his reasons and it’d be harsh to criticise him too much considering how well things are going at the club, but it would be great to see the 22-year-old play more often going forward, especially if Bolingoli is unavailable or unfancied.
These fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Taylor’s recent omission…
