Some Celtic fans are unhappy with how James Forrest was used vs Hibs

Celtic fans have been left frustrated with the way winger James Forrest was utilised by Neil Lennon against Hibernian on Saturday.

The Hoops dropped points for the first time in the Scottish Premiership this season at Easter Road.

It was a difficult afternoon and for some, made much harder by the way Lennon set out his team.

The manager is currently trying to find a way to accommodate Ryan Christie, Olivier Ntcham, Scott Brown and Callum McGregor all in the same starting eleven.

To do that, Forrest has been shunted out wide left, rather than in his traditional right wing spot. Christie then drifts wide right, with Ntcham in an attack-minded role through the middle.

Forrest has been one of our most important stars over the last couple of years. He’s a massive talent and the feeling is that the manager isn’t getting the best out of him by playing him out of position.

One of his biggest strengths, and why he’s scored so many goals in recent seasons, is his ability to drift in from the right and slam a finish home or play smart one-twos on that side of the pitch.

He notably struggled to make an impact on the game against Hibs.

Supporters are now calling on Lennon play the Scotland international in his natural position going forward, having grown frustrated with the shoehorning in of Ntcham.
