Celtic fans have been left impressed by the performance of Moritz Bauer during Sunday’s 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

The Hoops were out to make it six wins from six at the start of the league season and duly delivered.

Neil Lennon named a strong team and, despite going behind in the match, the eleven didn’t disappoint with their overall display.

One of the surprise inclusions was Bauer, who was fancied over Hatem Abd Elhamed. The Austrian look solid defensively and effective in attack.

It was his classy through ball that allowed Odsonne Edouard to bear down on goal and put the Hoops 2-1 up, scoring his second of the game.

Elhamed looks like he has serious competition for the position based on this performance.

The display was especially impressive because it was his first ever start in Celtic colours. He had previously only come off the bench against Rangers. It’s fair to say he’s taken his big chance.

If he can further grow in confidence and composure, we could have quite the player on our hands.

Unfortunately he took a knock late in the game and had to be subbed off. Fingers cross he’s back as soon as possible to continue from where left off.

Supporters were pleased with his display, with this lot taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on Sunday afternoon…
